- Pumpkin Seeds from one Pumpkin
- 2 TB of Vegetable Oil
- Chili Powder to Sprinkle
- Salt to Sprinkle
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Spread oil on a brownie pan.
- Lay seeds in one layer.
- Sprinkle with chili powder (I used ichimi, a Japanese chili powder) and salt.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes (or thereabouts!), checking every 10 minutes and stirring seeds.
This may be a really naive question, but do you shell the seeds first? How do you do that?
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting blog -- maybe I'll find something new to try!
Nope, you don't shell them first. Just scoop them out, rinse, and get rid of as much of the pulp as you can. I don't get really zealous about the pulp removal, however, a little bit just makes them taste more pumpkiny.
