Shrimp Paste Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- 1 TB vegetable oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 red chili, seeded and diced
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 2 TB shrimp paste (you can usually find it at Asian groceries)
- 2 eggs, whisked together
- 1 TB fish sauce
Directions: - Fry the garlic and red chiil in the oil over medium high heat
- After about 30 seconds add the green onion, fry for about a minute.
- Add the rice and the shrimp paste and stir fry until the rice is heated through and the shrimp paste is well-mixed into the rice.
- Pour over the eggs, and stir to coat the rice.
- Stir fry until the egg is cooked.
- Pour over fish sauce and stir fry for another minute or two.
