Faux Mocha

Starbucks, without leaving the house


  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • 2 TB sugar
  • 1 TB cocoa powder

For whipped topping:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract

  • While coffee is percolating make whipped cream by beating the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract on medium speed, until stiff peaks start to form.
  • Pour coffee into large mug
  • Heat milk for about 30 seconds in the microwave, and stir into coffee.
  • Stir in sugar and chocolate.
  • Top with whipped cream
